Everyone who writes articles about how to blog everywhere on
the Internet, feels that they should be blogging. But when you read some of
these articles, almost all of them are saying the same thing.
A blog is cheap and easy to start, you can set one up in 30
minutes. Buy a domain name, upload your blog. Monetize and promote your blog
about anything you are interested in.
It is almost all the same story is nothing new. No wonder
99% are failing blogging. Most people are just re-circulating information in an
effort to post their blogs regularly and earn money. So newbies who come online
to try blogging read such articles, rush to start a blog but quickly leave it
when they realize that it is more than anticipated.
Is blogging for you?
Many of us started blogging without any real information
about it. I started to know what a keyword means. Actually I did not even make
my own blog. I used to publish my articles in a local newspaper and one day a
friend of mine who knows how to make money called me and that's all he told me.
I came online, took time to write good content and published
on my blog when I was unable to get traffic and was disappointed. This was when
my friend started telling me about keywords, site optimization, page indexing,
etc. I was angry but making money from home is my dream so I took time to read
and practice how to start another blog and make a blog.
It did not fit my goal on the Internet. Searching for blog
post ideas for regular blog updates involves too much competition,
misinformation and too much time.
I wanted something more organized that didn't always keep me
on edge. My overall online goal is to build sustainable e-businesses that can
eventually run themselves, bringing good monthly income with little or no
effort. Blogging was not going to happen for me.
God answered my prayer the day my sister signed me up as an
affiliate for the site Build It! 5 Star Affiliate Program. Many resources
including free ebooks were made available. I downloaded all the e-books and
started with Affiliate Masters course. A 152 page e-book that introduced me to
the sustainable e-business building process called C-T-P-M content, traffic,
pre-sale monomization.
I later bought SBI and learned more. Everything I was
learning was a good understanding.
The way search engines work is how to write content that
sells to readers, how to fully plan a site for profitability before starting
it.
SBI is all in one website creation tool.
I was well equipped with all these information. I realized
why so many people were failing blogging and would continue to fail. I also
realized that blogging does not fit with most small business opportunities.
If your goal is to create a sustainable business online then
blogging will not give you that. You need to start a theme-based content site
based on your experience, or a skill where you can target a group of people who
would appreciate help with your experience. And write well-detailed articles on
topics you don't highlight on your niche. And build deeper relationships with
your readers.
Only a few people have found the real way to build a
sustainable online business and succeed easily.
There are certainly related news that fit in blogging
niches. But whatever the subject, it can be better treated and rewarded when
structured as a topic-based content site.
But what if you want to blog and you want to do it for
profit, what are the right steps that will guarantee success?
How to blog for profit
My advice is to take a deeper look at blogging and ask
yourself if blogging is for you. Get a free e-book 'Blogging on a Glance' that
covers what blogging says and answers all its myths and then forces you to
answer the important question: is blogging for me?
This decision is important so that if it is not for you, you
do not waste your time and money.
Decide what is your overall goal on the Internet. If you
later decide that blogging appeals to you, then:
Any money you intend to make should be planned like every
other business.
What will you do if you are starting a business?
You decide whether you want to sell or offer a service.
If you want to sell then you decide the product, if you want
to provide a service that you make sure that you are good at it.
You make sure that a good amount of people are interested in
the product you want to sell or the product you want to offer so that you can
make a good profit.
How will you make money from it?
Who are your contestants and how are they doing? Are they
pretending, if yes, how are they doing?
Are they too much? Can you beat them What will be your
benefit?
Will the business be profitable?
What is the best business name?
These and more are what you need to decide before starting a
local business.
It is online only.
What is your overall goal for wanting to start a blog? What
do you want to achieve?
What will you write about Are you interested enough to write regularly on that subject? Will it be profitable? Whether or not a subject will be profitable depends on the following:
As many people discover it every month. Is this enough to
make you good money?
Number of people blogging about that topic. The more people
are already blogging about that topic, the more difficult it is to succeed.
Except you have a unique way to approach a topic that will attract readers to
you.
How broad is the subject? Is it enough for a site that you
will run out of topics to build on it or write in a few months?
A subject should not be too narrow or too broad.
How many ways can the subject be demonetized? Decide how you
want to make money from your topic and then see if the monetization model is
profitable with the topic you choose. If it is not and your primary goal is to earn money from your blog then you have to cut for some other subject.
You will get all these data using a research tool and query
the search engine. If you can't afford any then you can use the free Google
keyword research tool.
Planning a site, whether a blog or a theme-based content site, is tedious work. It may take weeks or months for part-time users. But hard work is very important in the beginning, so you do not waste your time in blogging for many months or even years only to feel that you cannot monetize the topic properly, or that it is very competitive that you Can't win it or it's not comprehensive enough and you start deviating from your niche subjects.
happy blogging!
